taken during April/May 2004
The Arboretum is possibly at its best during the early months, the varying shades of green and the colours of various blossoms are a sign that life is returning. Despite being so close to the City Centre with all of its roads and traffic and local industry, the smells of spring are in the air, fresh cut grass and the blossoms giving off their own scents. The sound of birds and the wind in the trees block out the not so distant sound of traffic, creates the impression that you are miles away in the open country. |
